Notebook on Cities and Clothes

I knew this film is through the book Fashion Zeitgeist. I love this film very much. It let me think about the relationship between the digital video and traditional video and what is identity and what is fashion. Yohji Yamamoto says, When i tink about my father who is dead the war isn't over for me. There is no "after war" for me. As a Chinese, I could not accept to hear Japanese talking about how poor they are in Second World War. However, when I hear what Yohji Yamamoto says in the film, I think I change my mind. War is war, it hurt both side of people, no matter Chinese or Japanese. And I also like what Yohji Yamamoto talks about his attitude when he is designing. He says 'I am always waiting.' Yes, I believe in the same thing. Waiting is important for creative people. Fashion change fast but it does not mean that who work in fashion need be in rush. Clam down and think.
